Ooty is a beautiful hill station in India. The hills in ooty have very well structured path for the tourists to move up and down, they also arrange for trekking. The place is full of nature’s beauty and serene environment. This is the place where you can run from your daily noisy life and spend an hour or two in peaceful and silent environment. The important places to visit are; Toda Hamlet, Glen Morgan and 9th mile.





·      Toda Hamlet:  Among the things to do in Ooty visiting the toda hamlet is very important. The Toda hamlet is a small area with small semi-barrel shaped huts; it was actually once a village where people of a tribe called Toda used to live here. The Todas were very simple, grounded and innocent people. They were religious and spent their lives on basic needs of live, food, shelter and clothes. This is one place which will take you back to the ancient India where people were segregated into tribes and groups. These were nomads and survived over cattle herding, hunting and agriculture. The toda huts all over the place will make you feel as if you are reliving some very old episode or era of human life. The place is situated at around 30km away from the main city still it is considered as one of the most popular tourist spot for tourism in Ooty.
·      Glen Morgan Tea estate: Among the few things things to do in Ooty and that we keep in our wish list before going for a cold mountainous region, tea estate definitely comes in them. The Glen Morgan tea garden is one of those tea gardens where the tourists can go and get into the shoes of the tea workers. The estate is at a distance of 25km from the main city, but well connected with the transportation and other mediums. The Glen Morgan tea estate has many places around it which makes the place more of famous tourists spot as you can go to one place and explore the other places without moving much. The Glen Morgan tea garden has one of the best views in the city, the high hills with green tea all around gives a fresh and lush feeling. The area is foggy during winters which attract more tourists for tourism in Ooty. The tea garden produces no less than 10 different kinds of teas and other perfumed leaves to add in tea.
·      9th Mile: Ooty is a paradise for photographer, huge grounds, lush green grasses, snowy hills; far off landscape makes a picture perfect frame and visiting this place is one of the most important things to do in Ooty. This place is beautiful not only for clicking pictures but to take a long walk with your loved ones or simple enjoying the place. The place is called 9th mile due to the huge tract of land and one of the most famous spots and must visit place under the various things to do in Ooty.
